About

IMG_0972

I moved to Seattle in 2006 with my husband and since then have hiked all over the Cascades and beyond. I feel a deep connection with the outdoors that goes back to my childhood in rural Pennsylvania, spending weekends in the Appalachian Mountains with my dad and two older sisters. This year I want to bring more of this inspiration into my life by getting more involved with the outdoor community, volunteering, bringing nature into my home and sharing my favorite places with friends and family.

The blog is a way for me to share my adventures so far as well as my new journey on the road to inspiration. I’ve been scouring the outdoor world to find new inspiring places, people and books to share with you. I only recommend books on the website that I’ve already read and loved and I’m always looking for more. I’d love to hear about your favorite books and what inspires you!
